Introduce one word a day. Kids read it, color the bubble letters, trace it six times, write it on their own, find it among look-alike words, build it letter by letter in the shaped boxes, and read it in a sentence. Most kids finish in about 10 minutes.
Each box is shaped like the letter that goes in it: tall boxes for tall letters like t, h and l, low boxes for letters that hang below the line like y, g and p, and small boxes for the rest. The shape of the word is a strong clue for new readers.

Yes. The headers are light colors that look fine in gray. On the color by sight word pages the color name is written next to each word, so kids can follow the key without color ink. Sheets are US Letter and also print on A4.
All sheets are US Letter, print well in black and white, and are free for home and classroom use. The letters are set in Andika, a font made for new readers, with the a and g kids learn to write. More for teachers in the teacher resources library.
