What kids do

“Changes can feel exciting and scary at the same time.”

  1. Before the change
  2. After the change
  3. I feel…
  4. Something that will stay the same:
  5. Who or what helps me:

How to run it

  • Kids can pick a real change or a pretend one.
  • Feeling more than one thing at once is normal: tick as many as fit.
  • Share with a trusted grown-up if a change is hard.

Talk about it

  • What change have you already gotten used to?
  • What makes a new place feel like home?
  • How can you help someone new?

Take it further

Write a note to someone going through a change.
