What kids do

“This robot has one job: making someone’s day better. Design it!”

  1. Draw your kindness robot and label its parts
  2. Its 3 best parts and what they do
  3. My robot’s name:
  4. Who will it help first, and how? Could I do that too?

How to run it

  • Brainstorm kind jobs as a class first: carrying bags, cheering up, sharing snacks.
  • Ask for at least three labels with arrows.
  • The last question is the heart of it: what can a person do without the robot?

Talk about it

  • Which robot idea could we do ourselves this week?
  • Who in our school could use a kindness robot?
  • Is a kind act still kind if nobody sees it?

Take it further

Do one of the robot’s jobs for real, then draw what happened.
