What kids do

“Every flower holds one thing you are thankful for. Plant at least five!”

  1. Draw a flower for each thing you’re thankful for. Write or draw it in the middle.
  2. Dear ______________, thank you for…

How to run it

  • Show a few flower shapes kids can borrow: daisy, tulip, sunflower.
  • Thankful things can be people, places, pets or small things like warm socks.
  • Cut the note off and actually give it.

Talk about it

  • Which thankful thing surprised you?
  • Who helps us that we don’t always notice?
  • How does it feel to get a thank-you note?
