What kids do

“Super listeners use their whole body. Can you be one?”

  1. Draw a super listener and label what they do
  2. A super listener…
  3. My partner told me… (write one thing you heard)
  4. How well did I listen?

How to run it

  • Pair kids up: one talks for 30 seconds about a pet or a favorite food.
  • The listener writes one thing they heard, then swap.
  • Ask the talker if they felt listened to.

Talk about it

  • How can you tell someone is really listening?
  • What makes listening hard?
  • How does it feel when nobody listens?

Take it further

Listen to a grown-up tell a story and draw your favorite part.
