What kids do

“Friends don’t always agree. Help these two find a fair fix.”

  1. The problem (two friends both want…):
  2. Friend 1 feels…
  3. Friend 2 feels…
  4. Ideas to fix it
  5. The fairest idea is… because…

How to run it

  • Give the class a common problem: one swing, two kids.
  • Ideas can include taking turns, sharing, finding another option, asking for help.
  • Role-play the best idea.

Talk about it

  • What makes an idea fair?
  • Can both friends be a little bit right?
  • What words help calm a disagreement?

Take it further

Use the same steps on a real class problem (with names left out).
