What kids do

“Same message, kinder words. Rewrite each one!”

  1. Unkind → kind
  2. A kind sentence I want to use more:

How to run it

  • Read the unkind version in a grumpy voice, then the new one kindly.
  • Kind doesn’t mean giving in: you can still ask for what you need.
  • Act a few out in pairs.

Talk about it

  • How does each version feel to hear?
  • Is it harder to be kind when you’re upset?
  • What words make people listen?

Take it further

Make a class poster of kind phrases.
