My Proud Moment Trophy

Design a trophy for something you worked hard at, and write what it took to get there.

Grades
K–5
Time
about 20 minutes
Kids practice
self-esteem, recognizing effort, reflection

What kids do

“You earned a trophy! What is it for?”

  1. Draw your trophy (and write what it’s for)
  2. How hard was it?
  3. I am proud because…
  4. It took… (practice, help, courage?)

How to run it

  • Proud moments can be big or small: tying shoes, being brave at the dentist.
  • Point kids toward effort, not just winning.
  • Hold a short “trophy ceremony” where kids share.

Talk about it

  • Why do hard things make us proudest?
  • Who helped you get there?
  • What trophy would you give a friend?

Take it further

Design a trophy for a classmate and present it to them.
