What kids do

“Big things are great, but little things count too. What makes you smile?”

  1. Little happy things
  2. More!
  3. Draw your favorite one
  4. One little happy thing I can give someone else:

How to run it

  • Brainstorm silly small joys together: the smell of rain, a new crayon.
  • Kids can draw instead of writing in the list.
  • Revisit the list on a hard day.

Talk about it

  • Did anyone have the same happy thing as you?
  • Which happy thing is free?
  • How can we add little happy things to our class day?

Take it further

Make a class “happy jar” with one thing from each list.
