Kids practice
courage, self-awareness, naming feelings

What kids do

“Being brave means doing something even when you feel scared. Earn your badge!”

  1. Design your brave badge
  2. The brave thing I did:
  3. Before, I felt… After, I felt…
  4. Next time I want to be brave about…

How to run it

  • Brave can be small: trying a new food, asking a question, the first day.
  • Share a time you were brave.
  • Cut out the badges and pin them up for a day.

Talk about it

  • Can you be brave and scared at the same time?
  • Who helps you be brave?
  • How can we cheer on a friend who is being brave?

Take it further

Design a brave badge for a friend for something you saw them do.
