What kids do

“A good sorry has four parts. Plan yours!”

  1. My apology
  2. How I will make it right

How to run it

  • Use it after a conflict, once everyone is calm.
  • Practice with a pretend situation first.
  • A grown-up can help kids say it out loud.

Talk about it

  • What makes a sorry feel real?
  • Why include how they felt?
  • What if they’re not ready to forgive?

Take it further

Role-play an apology with a puppet.
