What kids do

“Plan a garden with every color of the rainbow!”

  1. My garden bed from above (one row per color)
  2. What grows in each color

How to run it

  • Use seed catalogs or a quick search for ideas: tomatoes, carrots, sunflowers.
  • Blue is tricky! Let kids hunt for a blue flower.
  • Plant a real cup garden if you can.

Talk about it

  • Which color was hardest to find?
  • What do all plants need?
  • Would you eat or pick your garden?

Take it further

Grow one plant from your plan in a cup.
