What kids do

“A bottle washed up on the shore! What does the message say?”

  1. Draw the bottle and what’s inside
  2. The message says:
  3. Who sent it
  4. What I will do next:

How to run it

  • Roll the finished message and put it in a real bottle or jar for display.
  • The sender could be a pirate, a mermaid or a kid far away.
  • Swap messages and write a reply.

Talk about it

  • Who sent your message? Why?
  • How far did it travel?
  • How would you answer it?

Take it further

Write the reply and send it back out to sea.
