How to run it

  • Practice open questions (“why”, “how”) versus yes/no ones.
  • Any character works: from a book, a drawing lesson or the child’s own.
  • Act out a few interviews in pairs.

Talk about it

  • Which question got the best answer?
  • How did you decide how the character talks?
  • What would the character ask you?

Take it further

Turn the interview into a short magazine article.
