Teacher tip

Learn every student’s name by the end of the week, and help kids learn each other’s.

How to use it

  • Model each greeting or game before kids try it.
  • Use the same order each day: greeting, share, activity, message.
  • Slide it into a sheet protector and use a dry-erase marker to reuse it all year.

Watch for

Greetings with touch. Always give a no-touch option, like a wave or an air high five.

Talk about it

  • What did you learn about a classmate today?
  • How can this help you be ready to learn?

Take it further

Invite a family member or the principal to join one meeting.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
