What kids do

“How are you feeling this morning? Circle a face, draw why and finish the sentence.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. This morning I feel… Circle one.
  2. Draw why you feel this way.
  3. Today it would help me to

Teacher tip

Check the faces quickly as kids arrive, and find a quiet moment for any child who circles a hard feeling.

How to use it

  • Model each greeting or game before kids try it.
  • Use the same order each day: greeting, share, activity, message.
  • Introduce the sheet once, model it, then make it part of a routine so kids know what to expect.

Watch for

Greetings with touch. Always give a no-touch option, like a wave or an air high five.

Talk about it

  • What could make our meeting better tomorrow?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Invite a family member or the principal to join one meeting.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
