What kids do

“Your planet needs a flag. What will it stand for?”

  1. My planet’s flag
  2. What it means
  3. My planet is called… and it is famous for…

How to run it

  • Look at a few real flags and talk about why they use stars, stripes or animals.
  • Keep it simple: two or three colors.
  • Fly them in a class “space parade.”

Talk about it

  • Why do places have flags?
  • What does your favorite symbol mean?
  • Could someone guess your planet’s story from the flag?

Take it further

Design a flag for your family or your class.
