What kids do

“What will you bring to this school year? Pack it all in!”

  1. Draw or write what you’re packing
  2. Leave at home
  3. The most important thing in my suitcase is… because…

How to run it

  • Brainstorm: kindness, curiosity, patience, a sense of humor.
  • “Leave at home” is for worries or habits they want to drop.
  • Hang them up as a class welcome display.

Talk about it

  • What will help you most this year?
  • What are you leaving behind?
  • What could a friend pack for you?

Take it further

Check your suitcase in January: what did you use?
