What kids do

“Look in a mirror and draw exactly what you see. Then make it yours!”

  1. Me, in the mirror
  2. Three words that describe me:
  3. The colors I chose and why:

How to run it

  • Small hand mirrors or a phone camera on selfie mode work.
  • Start with the shape of the face, then the eyes halfway down.
  • Display the portraits with the three words underneath.

Talk about it

  • What did you notice about your face?
  • What part was hardest to draw?
  • Does it look like you, or feel like you?

Take it further

Draw yourself again at the end of the year and compare.
