What kids do

“Want something? Convince me with great reasons!”

  1. I think we should…
  2. Reason 1
  3. Reason 2
  4. Reason 3
  5. A poster for my idea
  6. Someone might say… but…
  7. So that’s why…

How to run it

  • Brainstorm topics as a class, then each kid picks one.
  • Good reasons help other people too, not just “because I want it”.
  • Hold a mini debate with the posters.

Talk about it

  • Which reason is your strongest?
  • Who are you trying to convince?
  • Did anyone change your mind?

Take it further

Turn it into a letter to your principal or a family member.
