What kids do

“What’s the class favorite? Ask, count and graph it!”

  1. My question (Which is your favorite…?):
  2. Answers and tallies
  3. Color one box for each vote
  4. The graph shows that…

How to run it

  • Good questions have 3 or 4 choices: pizza toppings, pets, seasons.
  • Write the answer choices under the graph columns.
  • Compare graphs: which question split the class most?

Talk about it

  • Which answer won? By how many?
  • How many people did you ask in all?
  • Would the graph look different in another class?

Ask the same question at home and compare graphs.
