Teacher tip

Write each tool on a card for a class conflict toolbox.

How to use it

  • Role-play one scenario with a puppet or another adult before kids start.
  • Post the steps or tools from the sheet where kids solve problems, like near the door to recess.
  • Model your own answer first. Kids open up more when the grown-up goes first.

Watch for

Bullying is not a conflict between equals. Make sure kids know to tell a grown-up about it.

Talk about it

  • What is a fair solution here?
  • Have you ever been in a moment like this? What happened?

Take it further

Set up a peace corner or a peace table with the steps posted.
