What kids do

“In the middle and at the end of the week, color the face that shows how you did your class job.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. My job this week:
  2. I remembered to do my job.
  3. I did my job carefully.
  4. I did it without a reminder.
  5. I helped someone with their job.
  6. The best part of my job was…
  7. Next time I will…

Teacher tip

Have kids share one thing they did well at their job each Friday.

How to use it

  • Post the job chart where kids can see it from their seats.
  • Keep jobs simple and real so kids feel useful.
  • Introduce the sheet once, model it, then make it part of a routine so kids know what to expect.

Watch for

Jobs that take kids away from learning. Keep them short.

Talk about it

  • Which job would you like to try? Why?
  • Why do you think we use this in our classroom?

Take it further

Have kids train the next helper before jobs rotate.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
