Teacher tip

Pay kids at the end of each day, and let them spend at the class store on Fridays.

How to use it

  • Post the job chart where kids can see it from their seats.
  • Keep jobs simple and real so kids feel useful.
  • Keep a stack of copies in a labeled tray so you can grab one without stopping the lesson.

Watch for

Jobs that take kids away from learning. Keep them short.

Talk about it

  • What makes someone good at their job?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Have kids train the next helper before jobs rotate.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
