What kids do

“Practice for a class job interview. Answer each question, then interview a partner and switch.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. The job I want:
  2. 4. How will you help others while you do it?

Teacher tip

Let a classmate play the interviewer, and practice the questions together.

How to use it

  • Introduce each job and model it before kids take it on.
  • Rotate jobs on the same day each week so everyone gets a turn.
  • Introduce the sheet once, model it, then make it part of a routine so kids know what to expect.

Watch for

The same kids getting the favorite jobs. Use a fair rotation.

Talk about it

  • What makes someone good at their job?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Add a new job when the class finds a need, like a tech helper.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
