What kids do

“Find each one in the classroom or the school. Write what you found and draw it.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. A right angle is a square corner. Parallel lines never meet. Perpendicular lines cross to make right angles.

Teacher tip

Review angles, lines and symmetry with a few examples in the room.

How to use it

  • Set clear boundaries for where kids can look.
  • Give a time limit and a signal for when to come back.
  • Slide it into a sheet protector so kids can play again with a dry-erase marker.

Watch for

Kids who rush and do not look closely. Ask them to tell you about one find.

Talk about it

  • Which item was the hardest to find?
  • What would you change to make it harder?

Take it further

Send it home as a family hunt for the weekend.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
