What kids do

“Surprise! A wild animal is your pet for today. Plan the day!”

  1. My wild pet:
  2. Its day
  3. The funniest moment of the day
  4. Why wild animals don’t make good pets:

How to run it

  • Fill each timeline stop with a tiny drawing or a few words.
  • Ask what the animal eats and where it sleeps.
  • End by talking about why wild animals belong in the wild.

Talk about it

  • What would go wrong first?
  • What does your animal need that a house doesn’t have?
  • Which animals do make good pets? Why?

Take it further

Write a thank-you note from the animal when it goes home.
