What kids do

“Breakfast for dinner, teachers are students, rain falls up. What else flips?”

  1. My school on Upside-Down Day
  2. Three upside-down rules
  3. The best and worst thing about Upside-Down Day:

How to run it

  • Warm up with opposites: hot/cold, up/down, loud/quiet.
  • Kids can draw people walking on the ceiling.
  • Read the rules aloud: the silliest ones get the biggest laughs.

Talk about it

  • Which rule would you keep forever?
  • What would be really hard on Upside-Down Day?
  • Why do opposites make things funny?

Take it further

Hold a real (mini) Upside-Down Day: lunch first, wear shirts backward.
