What kids do

“No answers allowed! Only questions. How many can you ask?”

  1. Ask about this
  2. My questions
  3. More questions
  4. Star your best question. Why is it best?
  5. How could I find out the answer?

How to run it

  • Give kids question starters: Why… How… What if… Where…
  • Silly questions are welcome; they often lead somewhere.
  • Sort the class’s starred questions: which can we look up, test or only imagine?

Talk about it

  • What makes a question interesting?
  • Which questions can’t be answered? Are they still useful?
  • Where could we find answers?

Take it further

Look up the answer to your starred question and draw what you learned.
