What kids do

“Show everything you know about a topic in one map!”

  1. Branch out with words and tiny drawings
  2. A question my map made me ask:

How to run it

  • Use before a unit to see what kids know, and after to see what they learned.
  • Each branch gets a tiny drawing.
  • Use colors for different kinds of facts.

Talk about it

  • Which branch is biggest?
  • Which is emptiest?
  • How are two branches connected?

Take it further

Add a new color after the unit.
