What kids do

“Goals are easier with a buddy. Check in with each other!”

  1. My goal:
  2. My buddy’s goal:
  3. Weekly check-ins
  4. Something my buddy said that helped
  5. How I helped my buddy:

How to run it

  • Pair kids for a month and give five minutes each Friday.
  • Goals can be different: reading, drawing, being on time.
  • Model encouraging words: “What helped this week?”

Talk about it

  • Why is a buddy helpful?
  • What do you say when a buddy has a bad week?
  • Who is your goal buddy at home?
