What kids do

“Blow a bubble and watch it closely. What do you notice?”

  1. Colors I saw in one bubble
  2. Bubbles stuck together
  3. My bubble…
  4. Are bubbles always round?
  5. I wonder…

How to run it

  • Do this outside or over a tray.
  • Count how long a bubble lasts out loud: one, two, three…
  • Try a bubble wand of a different shape and see what comes out.

Talk about it

  • Why are bubbles shiny with colors?
  • What makes a bubble pop?
  • Can you make a square bubble?

Take it further

Bend a pipe cleaner into a star wand. What shape bubble do you get?
