What kids do

“You just shrank to the size of an ant. What does the world look like now?”

  1. Where I am:
  2. Draw what you see from down low (everything is GIANT)
  3. The scariest and the coolest giant things:

How to run it

  • Let kids lie on the floor or put their eyes at desk level first.
  • Talk about how a crayon could look like a tree trunk.
  • Pair with a lesson on insects or on size.

Talk about it

  • What would be hard about being tiny?
  • What would be easy?
  • How do animals of different sizes see the world?

Take it further

Draw the same place from a bird’s-eye view, looking down.
