What kids do

Printed on the sheet:

  1. Draw a line from each kindness word to its meaning.
  2. Use two of the kindness words in a sentence about you or someone you know.

Teacher tip

Add the words to your word wall and use them in class compliments.

How to use it

  • Read a short kindness story aloud before the sheet.
  • Ask kids to name a kind thing someone did for them this week.
  • Keep finished sheets in an SEL folder so kids can look back on their growth.

Watch for

Kindness that is only for friends. Talk about being kind to people we don’t know well too.

Talk about it

  • How do you think they felt?
  • Have you ever been in a moment like this? What happened?

Take it further

Hold a kindness week with one class challenge each day.
