What kids do

“Being responsible means doing what you are supposed to do, even when no one is watching. Think about what it looks like.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. Which are responsible choices? Check them.
  2. I am responsible at school when I…
  3. I am responsible at home when I…
  4. Draw yourself being responsible.

Teacher tip

Read a picture book about responsibility before kids start the page.

How to use it

  • Post the job chart where kids can see it from their seats.
  • Keep jobs simple and real so kids feel useful.
  • Print it on colored paper so kids and helpers can spot it quickly.

Watch for

Jobs that take kids away from learning. Keep them short.

Talk about it

  • What makes someone good at their job?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Have kids train the next helper before jobs rotate.
