What kids do

“Check off what you notice during morning meeting. Over a week you will see who needs a turn or a nudge.”

Teacher tip

Focus on a few students each day instead of all 14 at once.

How to use it

  • Model each greeting or game before kids try it.
  • Use the same order each day: greeting, share, activity, message.
  • Keep a stack of copies in a labeled tray so you can grab one without stopping the lesson.

Watch for

Greetings with touch. Always give a no-touch option, like a wave or an air high five.

Talk about it

  • What did you learn about a classmate today?
  • How can this help you be ready to learn?

Take it further

Invite a family member or the principal to join one meeting.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
