What kids do

“Every name has a story. What’s yours?”

  1. Write your name in big bubble letters and decorate it
  2. My name story
  3. If I could name a pet or a character, I would pick…

How to run it

  • Send home a day early so kids can ask their family.
  • Some kids won’t know their story; “I like my name because…” works too.
  • Share and hang the names as a welcome wall.

Talk about it

  • Do you know anyone with the same name?
  • How does it feel when someone says your name wrong?
  • What name would a monster have?
