What kids do

“Lots of people help our town. Draw six of them!”

  1. Community helpers
  2. A helper I want to thank is… because…

How to run it

  • Brainstorm helpers we see and some we don’t: nurses, bakers, bus drivers, night cleaners.
  • Draw them with the tools they use.
  • Invite a helper to visit or write them a note.

Talk about it

  • Which helpers do we never see?
  • What would happen without one of them?
  • Which job would you like to try?

Take it further

Write a thank-you note to one helper.
