What kids do

“Write, draw, write, draw. Fold after each turn so only the last one shows!”

  1. Player 1 writes a silly sentence:
  2. Player 2 draws it
  3. Player 3 writes what the drawing shows:
  4. Player 4 draws that
  5. Player 5 writes the final version:

How to run it

  • Fold the paper so each player sees only the step before.
  • Silly sentences work best: “A cat flies a pizza.”
  • Unfold and read it from the top.

Talk about it

  • Where did the message change?
  • Why do messages change when they pass along?
  • What made a drawing clear?

Take it further
