What kids do

“Your teacher wants to know how school is going for you. Tell them!”

  1. School lately feels:
  2. Something going well:
  3. Something tricky:
  4. One thing that would help me learn:
  5. Draw yourself at school
  6. Anything else I want you to know:

How to run it

  • Promise kids that only you will read it.
  • Use every few weeks: it’s a quick way to catch problems early.
  • Write a short reply on a sticky note.

Talk about it

  • What makes it easier to ask for help?
  • How can a teacher know you’re stuck?
  • What would you tell next year’s class?

Take it further

Write a note to a family member about school too.
