What kids do

“You choose! Fill the board, then pick three in a row.”

  1. The skill I’m practicing:
  2. Nine ways to practice (write or draw one in each)
  3. My three picks and when
  4. I picked these because…

How to run it

  • Brainstorm practice ideas first: draw it, teach it, build it, sing it.
  • Three in a row can go across, down or corner to corner.
  • Check off each one as it’s done.

Talk about it

  • Which choice was the most fun?
  • Which one helped you learn the most?
  • Why does choosing help?

Take it further

Swap boards with a partner and try one of their ideas.
