Match the Letters: A to F
Big A to F on the left, small letters mixed up on the right: draw a line to match each pair, say its sound, then trace all 6 pairs.
A second cut-and-glue sort: nine character pictures go under b, d or s by their first sound. b and d side by side, so kids look twice.
“Cut out the pictures. Say each name. Glue it under the letter that makes its first sound.”

b and d side by side is on purpose. Ask kids to check the letter before gluing.
Adding “uh” to stop sounds, like “buh” for /b/. Keep sounds short and crisp.
Form the letter with playdough or pipe cleaners.
