Match Numbers, Words and Dots
Six numbers, six words and six dot groups, all mixed up. Draw lines to join the three that go together.
Color the squares in order from 1 to 20 to find the path from Start to Finish. Wrong numbers block the way.
“Start at 1. Color 2, then 3, then 4… all the way to 20 to reach the Finish.”
Ask kids to say each number before they color the square, so the maze becomes counting practice.
Reversals of 2, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are normal at this age. Point to the start dot and model again rather than marking it wrong.
Write the numbers in sand, shaving cream or playdough, then back on paper.

A 10 by 10 grid of the numbers 1 to 5. Color each square to the key and a picture appears.
The twenties in rows: trace three, then write two on your own. Two tens and some more on every line.
Read the tens from thirty to one hundred, count the rods of ten and trace each number word twice.
