What kids do

“Cut apart the tickets. Students write the part of today’s lesson that is still muddy, or unclear, and what would help.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. The part that is still unclear to me is…

Teacher tip

Start the next lesson with the most common muddy point.

How to use it

  • Give the ticket in the last five minutes of the lesson.
  • Keep it short: one or two questions are enough.
  • Introduce the sheet once, model it, then make it part of a routine so kids know what to expect.

Watch for

Tickets collected but never used. Sort them the same day to plan tomorrow.

Talk about it

  • What is one thing you learned today?
  • Why do you think we use this in our classroom?

Take it further

Share a few anonymous answers the next day to start the lesson.
