  4. 30 to 45 minutes more than 45 minutes

Teacher tip

Use the reflections to see if homework is too long or too hard, and adjust.

How to use it

  • Explain the sheet to families at back-to-school night or in a note.
  • Keep the sheet in the same folder every day so kids know where to find it.
  • Keep a stack of copies in a labeled tray so you can grab one without stopping the lesson.

Watch for

Kids without support or a quiet place at home. Offer a time to finish at school.

Talk about it

  • What do you do when you get stuck?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?
