Teacher tip

Keep the note kind and specific, and include a way for families to reach you.

How to use it

  • Check the sheet quickly each morning as part of the routine.
  • Show kids how to fill it in before sending it home the first time.
  • Fill one in with the class the first time so kids see what a finished one looks like.

Watch for

Families who feel judged by tracking. Keep notes kind and focused on help.

Talk about it

  • What do you do when you get stuck?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Celebrate a full week of finished homework with a small class reward.
