What kids do

“One page per student. Meet every few weeks to look at their goal, celebrate progress and agree on the next step.”

Teacher tip

Meet with a few students each day so you can see everyone in two weeks.

How to use it

  • Keep trackers in a data folder kids can reach on their own.
  • Celebrate progress, not just finished goals.
  • Print it on colored paper so kids and helpers can spot it quickly.

Watch for

Goals that are too big. Break them into steps that can be reached in a week or two.

Talk about it

  • What goal are you working on?
  • Why do you think we use this in our classroom?

Take it further

Set a class goal that everyone works toward together.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
