Teacher tip

Do one sentence a day, then have kids explain each fix out loud. The talk builds the rule.

How to use it

  • Keep the format the same each day so kids work on their own.
  • Play quiet music while kids work to set a calm tone.
  • Print it on colored paper so kids and helpers can spot it quickly.

Watch for

Problems kids miss every day. Those skills need a mini-lesson, not more practice.

Talk about it

  • Which problem was the easiest this morning? Which was the hardest?
  • Why do you think we use this in our classroom?

Take it further

Collect the hardest questions and review them on Friday.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
