What kids do

“Post this for the class. Color a star every time the whole class meets the goal. When all 25 are colored, celebrate!”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. Our class goal:

Teacher tip

Pick a reward the whole class chose, like extra recess or a pajama day.

How to use it

  • Keep trackers in a data folder kids can reach on their own.
  • Celebrate progress, not just finished goals.
  • Keep a stack of copies in a labeled tray so you can grab one without stopping the lesson.

Watch for

Goals that are too big. Break them into steps that can be reached in a week or two.

Talk about it

  • What will you try next?
  • What is one thing that went well this week?

Take it further

Set a class goal that everyone works toward together.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
