What kids do

“Pick a helper job you would like to try. Design a badge for it and fill in your job card.”

Printed on the sheet:

  1. How I help people:

Teacher tip

Hang the badges on a “Helpers in Training” board.

How to use it

  • Invite a community helper (or a parent with a helper job) to visit after the sheet.
  • Act out helpers and their tools in a quick guessing game.
  • Use finished sheets for a quick gallery walk or a partner share.

Watch for

Kids who think only some people can do some jobs. Show helpers of every gender and background.

Talk about it

  • Which helper would you like to be? Why?
  • What did you learn that surprised you?

Take it further

Set up a dramatic play corner with helper costumes and tools.

US Letter, prints well in black and white. Free for home and classroom use: print as many copies as you need.
